Kelli Anderson
Designer, Paper Engineer
The Hidden Talents of Everyday Things
By pushing lo-fi experiences—like print—to their extreme, we can connect with invisible forces greater than ourselves like light, time, space, and sound. Kelli will demonstrate how unassuming materials like paper can be investigated to find new possibilities hiding in plain view (and be used to surprise and inspire an audience.)
Speaker Bio
Kelli Anderson is a designer who creates small, handheld experiences that challenge commonly-held assumptions about what humble materials—like paper—can do. “This Book is a Camera”—a functional pop-up camera—enables the reader/user to interact with directly with how light works. She recently published “This Book is a Planetarium”—a pop-up book that completely reinvents how paper is used, while explaining scientific abstractions through minimalistic gadgets (like a tiny, functional planetarium.)
